Drug Uses
Clomid is found to be effective for treating female infertility.

How Taken
Consult your doctor on the dosage. The drug can be taken with or without food. It has been seen that ovulation occurs five to ten days after a dosage. If you do not get pregnant even after three courses, further treatment is not recommended.

Missed Dose
You have to consult the doctor if a dosage is missed.

Clomid can cause dizziness and vision disturbances. After taking Clomid, avoid driving as it can be dangerous. Clomid should not be used with any other medication and alcohol.  There is a possibility of getting twins while taking Clomid. The drug should only be used by those for whom it has been prescribed.

Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Clomid, you have to tell the doctor about your medical history. Tell him if you are on some medication or if allergic to some medicines, foods or to any component in Clomid.
Your doctor should know if you have depression, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Clomid should not be used if you suspect you could be pregnant.
Though it is not known if Clomid is excreted through breast milk, it is better not to breast–feed while taking the drug.
Consult the doctor if you have stomach or pelvic pain, stomach enlargement, weight gain or any other discomfort. Clomid should be avoided if you have ovarian cysts, abnormal vaginal bleeding and blockage of blood vessels in lungs, legs or other parts.
The drug is not prescribed for those who have liver and thyroid problems, and brain lesion. Elderly patients will only requitre a low dosage as they are more sensitive to the drug.
