Drug Uses
Lexapro treats depression and anxiety disorders.
How Taken
Coming
in tablet form, Lexapro should be taken one daily. The drug can be
taken with or without food. For better results, take Lexapro regularly
for a couple of weeks.
Missed Dose
If a dose is missed, you
can take it if you remember it in time. Or if it is time for the next
scheduled dosage, leave the missed one. Do not go for double dosage.
More Information
Avoid
taking Lexapro if you are taking nitrates and alpha brokers. The
pressure level may reach unsafe levels if Lexapro is combined with
alpha–blockers. If you have any sexual dysfunction, then avoid Lexapro.
You should also avoid if you are allergic to it.
Storage
Store this medication at room temperature
20–25°C (68–77°F). Keep away from children and excess heat and moisture
(not in the bathroom).
Warnings/Precautions
If you are having kidney or liver problems, you
should not take Lexapro or can be taken according to the doctor’s
advice; he may make dosage adjustments.
Tell your doctor if you
had any allergic reaction to Lexapro and Celexa in the past. You should
not mix citalopram with Lexapro. If pregnant and breast-feeding, it is
better not to take Lexapro without consulting the doctor.

Possible Side Effects
